Winamp 5.09 Released

A new version, 5.09, has been released of the popular winamp mp3 player.
Fixes:
* New: By popular demand all "hTtP force to 'Now Playing'" support has been removed
* New: Deletes in the Media Library now move files to the Recycle Bin
* New: WMA Playback now works with WaveOut plugin
* New: NSV Subtitles can be disabled on the fly
* Fixed: Authentication for OGG/Vorbis streams
* Fixed: Drag and Drop strange behavior in open file dialogs
* Fixed: Stuttering WMA On Start and Seek
* Fixed: NSV Video stall during buffering
* Fixed: Autosize of video to be accurate to the Video size not snap size
* Fixed: Short NSV Clips audio cutout
* Update: CD Ripping Library
* Update: Online Media tree is now dynamic (More free videos on the way!)
* Update: Sonic Install / Config flag mismatch

    Does anyone like this version? I am curious becuase I may try to use Winamp again in place of iTunes. But I recall that some people say to use an older version for some reason, but I don't recall which version was the one that everyone liked.

    i went from winamp to music cube. great change. never tried itunes.

    2.9 is the best But I moved to the new one because well its hard to find 2.9 :(

    I like WinAMP 5. There's a plugin that lets you play iTunes-purchased content. The only thing is you have to have legally purchased the music and the PC must be authorized.

    Because it can do everything 5 can do at a fraction of the memory footprint, load time, and UI clutter.

    I use 5. With a gig of ram, I don't notice the increased amount of memory 5 may use (I'm not running it in any situation where hundreds of megs of memory are already being used). I would expect that 5 has better plugin support, too.

    Besides, if I ever get tired of pretty skins, old school skins are only a click away.

    I'll stick with Winamp until musikcube supports video and WMA audio.
