I'm building a web server (http://www.short-media.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32174), and I need suggestions on which Linux I should use on it. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

    Ask a thousand Linux users, get a thousand answers. If you're going to use this box as a webserver, it really doesn't matter. I use Slackware.

    FreeBSD :D

    I always found Fedora Core 1/2/3 very easy to install and use. I used Gentoo for a while too, but not easy to get up and running. Everything is compiled from scratch though, so you get a highly optimized machine.

    Use Redhat or Mandrake.

    If you're building a headless server, you don't need a GUI->Gentoo.

    Headless is no keyboard, no mouse, no video.
