I would really like to see some evidence that hl2 will not support ati cards with hdr.
Ive been googling and have been unable to find any evidence supporting that hdr on hl2 will not support hdr all I can find is it will or a bunch of people on forums aruging.
Check there. I'm hungry and don't feel like arguing about this anyways.
In order to get the real, full effect of HDR in any game (not a spinning ball over a photo in a tech demo) you need PS3. Neither 2 nor 2b can handle it.

You will see no real diffrence between ps2 and ps3
go for the ati.
Less money less heat more value
Wrong.
HDR lighting isn't available on PS2. PS3 is also faster.
There's a reason all the games out now and upcoming require PS3. Do a little bit of reading.
Today i get paid, so im gonna have to say it really depends on what my paycheck is.
You sure you didn't misread that one ?
Edit: Also the benchmarks I saw for farcry ps3 were 2 lower for minimum fps and only 8 higher for max.
Goina try the search on the steam forums
edit: btw I managed to find this

We just get a toned down version.
Right. So if you want true HDR, you need SM3.
That demo uses ps2 and its hdr (the one linked to in a previous post.)
