I have a pet related emergency. Need cash fast.

MSI K8D master dual opteron with a pair of opteron 240's.

This is the bigger MSI K8D server board with three pci-x slots. Two pci slots.

onboard vga

dual gigabit nics

etc..

Been running 24/7 for months. Works perfect!

I just upgraded a second k8d to 246's so I really don't need two dual opterons right now. (long sigh...)

$500 for the package with MB and dual 240 opterons. plus shipping.

Includes two zalman $40 HSF's, Thats $80 worth of just HSF's. Best price on pricewatch for just the MB last time I checked was around $400. With the HSF's and motherboard you are almost getting the CPU's for friggin free. I'll even throw in a pair of 256mb pc2700 reg ecc memory (512mb total) another $70 value with the deal if it closes by the weekend, so your set to just plug it in and go when it arrives.

With HSF's and memory the cpu's are BASICALY FREE.

Someone better jump on this pony fast.

Tex

    Sorry about the emergency Tex.

I'm sure somebody would like a nice duallie to add to their farm. I would but funds are low. (unemployed right now.)

I bought the last rig Tex had up for sale and it runs like a champ!

    How about SM28???

I'm in for $25. The fund could kick in a bit, but we should get at least $300 in pledges by tomorrow if we want to do this. Anyone else in? :D

I can't believe I am saying this but

$480 for team members only. If you close by this weekend.

I just checked pricewatch and lowest price for this MB ALONE is $425.

For less then the price of the MB and HSF's your getting dual opteron 240 cpu's and 512mb of reg ecc ddr for friggin FREE.

I am shocked this baby is still sitting here for this price. It's very quiet with the big zalman HSF's also. A perfect folding box. Powerful and quiet!

PS... My newfy puppy would of been 6 months old yesterday. She died of a heart attack night before last. A birth defect. Just had her cremated. Picked up her ashes this morning. Trying to drive over to the western slope of the Rockies to find a place to bury her this weekend. She loved the water. Trying to find a pretty spot along a small stream in the mountains.

Consider this a "Help bury Tex's puppy" auction.

This was one of the last good pics of her. This was at 4.5 months old sitting on Robins lap. She always believed she was a lap dog. She was 74lbs the morning she died.

Please no flowers for the funeral! She did eat flowers..... but preferred doggie bones. (truth is the dog ate everything that couldnt out run her) So please send all doggie milk bone donations to "Cheyenne The Wonder Dog's" trust fund at Tex's home address.

And before you ask... YES... thats actually the official name she was registered with despite all Robins objections. "Cheyenne the Wonder Dog".

You know me.... Gotta get a laugh out of everything including my dogs name. (long sigh....) she never seemed to mind though.

We usually just called her "Monster" anyway.

You know these days every home NEEDS a dual opteron file server just to serve up MP3's and porn. I mean movies! Yeah family type movies! Like uhhhhh... well... Lassie type movies!

Or Pamela Lee meets Lassie movies if your really sick and perverted. (yes I will include the bootleg version of the Pammy meets Lassie movie if it sells by Saturday morning at no additional charge).

I'd buy it outright if I hadn't just bought a new system and had any money :(

No reason for one guy to buy it unless they had a need for a nice server for their house anyway. This is like the 4'th k8d master I have owned. Just ROCK solid. I reboot once every month or two.. Not because its really needed. More like "Oh Yeah... I forgot about that one...".

I usually keep a pair here but just bought a Supermicro dual xeon rig so this was the easiest one to part with.

At this price I know I will regret it in the end. I mean you can't have to many dual opterons can ya?

Come on team. Weekend is almost here! Pull out your piggy banks and whack those suckers open!

And keep those cards and letters... errrrr.... doggie bones coming!

I'm buying it. That's it. This is the perfect dev box for SM since it can be set up to almost duplicate the production server.

It wasnt losing a dog. She was one day from being 6 months old. Just a pup. Far to young to die.
