    Darren,
I'd suggest you name your threads something relevant to your computer problem as opposed to your screen name. You'll get more people interested and thus willing to help.

A little more info is needed. Are you using onboard sound or an add-in sound card? Do you have the same sound problems in other games and programs? Have you tried another sound card to see if you get the same problem?

Thread title changed to be a little more relevant.

hi again my sound card is onboard (asus motherboard) the chipset and bios are both up to date and although it happens mainly on call of duty it does happen some times on other programs also i have noticed that their doesnt seem to be sterio sounds comming out of the speakers

I've no idea if this is of any use but, I seem to remember having a sound problem with CoD ages ago that a new graphics driver fixed. I know that sounds odd (no pun intended) but I'm pretty sure that was it.

It could be the sound portion of your mobo going bad or as bothered says a conflict with another driver. Have you changed any settings recently?
