NF7-S BIOS 18/ What's your experience with it???

I recently upgraded from bios 14 to 18 and noticed the right away that the CPU temp was now higher. When I got my board I checked the temp with a probe and found that the board was reading high. With the 14 beta and official I found that Abit had corrected the temps. Now they are about 5 Deg C higher than with the bios 14. At first it seemed to work Ok but when I decided to go on an OC tear it did nothing but give me crap. Most of the time after changing the fsb and or multi settings it wouldn't reboot after saving the settings. I tried flashing it 2 different times with everything at default during the flash both times and was the same each time. I flashed back to bios 14 and it is working like a champ again. What are your results with this bios version? What exactly what was it supposed to benefit?

I have had no problems with the board at all. Only change is the temps seem a bit higher.

Probably reading the actual CPU temperature wheras before it was reading the in-socket temp. I noticed that my NF7 reads low compared to my other boards, so I assume it still reads off the in-socket thermistor, which I'm not thrilled about at all.

I have measured mine with a probe placed on the top egde of the core and it is almost right on with the readings with bios 14. Could they maybe be utilizing the on die reading with the 18? But that doesn't really seem to be that much of a differance. I never got the over temp alarm as much either as with 18. WTF Guess this means I will stick with 14???

My temp became lower in Winbond HW monitor after updating the Bios to ver. 18
It decreased approx. 4-5 degrees celcius.
I also updated the HWM to a newer version.
