SCO E-mail: No 'Smoking Gun' In Linux Code

A 2002 e-mail suggests that an investigation commissioned by The SCO Group failed to produce any evidence that Linux contained copyrighted Unix code.
The e-mail, which was sent to SCO Group CEO Darl McBride by a senior vice president at the company, forwards on an e-mail from a SCO engineer. In the Aug. 13, 2002, e-mail, engineer Michael Davidson said "At the end, we had found absolutely nothing ie (sic) no evidence of any copyright infringement whatsoever."

You know, the moment SCO had to be ordered by a court of US law to disburse the content over which they was suing, whatever credibility they had with me (Whispers on the wind, I assure you...) was dissolved. You don't go into a lawsuit, and then refuse to cite precisely what you're suing for until the Judge orders you to.

SCO...A real piece of work, they are. To make it even worse, the first Linux distro I ever used was Caldera OpenLinux Workstation, then Caldera OpenLinux Server.....SCO is Caldera. What a joke. Check out this link to Caldera Support. It's a f**king SCO page.

SCO - nothing but a lawsuit factory. Gee, what a business plan. They really, really need to go completely out of business. Who keeps them in business, anyway?
