I found an Texas Instruments Extenxa 390 laptop in my basement. The screens broke and i can't find a charger. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the specs, if its salvagable. I guess it has an pentium processor with mmx technology.

No clue. Maybe they sold/transfered their laptop or computer section to Acer.

No, but a lot of the old TI computers were made by third party mfrs and private labelled for TI. Note I did NOT say ALL were private label mfr'd. acer DOES make private labelled computers for some folks still.

There are only four or five laptop manufacturers in the world, total. Brand X, Y, Z, and even Apple - all produced by just a few assembly plants, with brand labels applied/embossed somewhere along the line . If I am correct, none of the major computer manufacturers actually builds their own laptops or notebooks.
