An effective antivirus / antispyware combination?

Lately I've been fixing home computers for some extra cash, and I've been installing a variety of free download programs to help keep viruses and spyware off the computers. I thought I'd post here with my list and see if there are other programs that would be good to add also, or if there are programs here that really aren't needed / effective.

1. Norton SystemWorks 2003, fully updated.
2. AdAware SE 1.06 (free download)
3. Spybot Search and Destroy 1.4 (free download)
4. Spyware Shooter (free download, doesn't seem to do anything after the initial installation).
5. AVG antivirus 7.0 (free download version)
6. Spyware Blaster 3.4 (free download)
7. Sygate Personal Firewall (free download version)

And as extras, mostly for monitoring and installations during the loading process, I put in CPU-Z and Winzip 9.0 (free version).

On Windows XP Home systems, I do a full upgrade to Service Pack 2, turn on the security, and get all the updates I can find. On lower powered systems that get Windows 2000 Pro, I download Service Pack 4 and all the updates I can find.

What do you think?

For your Virus/Spyware portection, you have everything needed but I suggest you ditch Norton Systemworks 2003. You shouldn't have two Anti-Virus software(s) on one computer and i'm saying to ditch NS03 because AVG is better. Most people will agree.

Everything else you mentioned is ok

Spyware Shooter isn't memory resident. What it does is prevent spyware from loading on your machine by preventing access to certain known spyware sites.
