Motherboard Monitor Causes System Crashes?
Weird, really weird. I've been using Motherboard Monitor for over five years on AMD and Intel-based systems, OEM and homebuilts, with never a problem. Today in System 1 (see signature, below), I replaced the second Maxtor 80GB with a new Hitachi DeskStar 160GB.one of the hard. The drive works perfectly, as well as all my software.
Here's the problem, when I right click on the temperature displays in the tray and select "Display", instead of displaying the MBM's monitor it crashes the system. I have completely uninstalled and re-installed MBM 5 (latest version) three times, to no effect. The system doesn't crash with Speedfan or Hmonitor. What gives here?
Not a show stopper here; I just really like to know what is causing this. I also would prefer running MBM 5 rather than Speedfan or Hmonitor.
