PST1119.tmp

edited September 2005 in Science & Tech
Hello all,

I was just going through my harddrive and noticed a folder called 'TEMP'

It contains 5 files named PST1119.tmp, PST1640.tmp, PST2870.tmp, PST4973.tmp, PST6205.tmp.

Each of these files is 2 gigabytes. Could anyone please tell me what these are and can they be deleted??

Thanks very much.

Do you use Photoshop? It looks like they could be Photoshop scratch files. If they're older than a week I'd say they're safe to delete.

I have also seen outlook create temp files like that. One guy I know had 16gb of them.

Kwitco is right, they are photoshop temp files, and you can safely delete them.

Prime, my name is spelled with a K. If you're going to spell it Kwitco, at least do KwitCo™. :hrm:

Thanks, very much. I do use photoshop a lot. So if they are not older than a week is it best to leave them?

I've also seen another temp file created by photoshop that comes and goes everytime i use the program, so i wonder why these are permanently saved? They take up a lot of space, 10gb so far.

I also just installed the latest photoshop CS2.

I also use varoius other panaromic stiching programs, and adobe premiere for videos as well, do you think it could be anything from these programs?

    Thanks for the prompt reply..
