Yes, that's weird. Here's what happened here. After reading your post, I thought I'd do a manual definition update. It seemed to download, then I got an error message window - "The requested file cannot be found on the update server" (or something similar). The AVG icon in the tool tray is now gray scaled. Opening the control center though, and checking settings shows that AVG is running. This is confirmed by Windows task manager. Looks to be a server probem in the Czech Republic, or wherever the updates servers are.

ah yes cool it is still running.
Well I'm sure things will get sorted rather quickly (in ms terms) and back to normal soon. I'm just glad to see I'm not the only one.
    Sorry about that Leon!

I had the same problem last night right about the same time as you. It worked fine a few minutes ago, though. :)

Same here. AVG didn't update yesterday, giving me the same error as Leo but it worked 30 mins ago :)

Been having that same issue for a couple days now myself. I am looking now, and it must have downloaded the update itself.

I had to reboot after the last update, not the usuall.
Looks to running fine. Still stopping trash.

The reboot was necessitated by updates to the program itself. Still looking good here, too. :)
