Laptop Performance
Hey all,
In a previous thread I stated I was wanting to speed up my Lappy for folding purposes. Now Ive deleted alot nonessential files and Im in the process of defraging, is there anything else I can do to make it quicker? Also willing to by some parts if needed.

Celeron M 1.5g
512 mem
60 gig HD

Perform Ctrl-Alt-Del, select the Processes tab, screenshot, and post. We'll see if there is CPU and/or memory hogging programs running in the background that we can turn off.

the max memory(according to HP is 2 gig)so and upgrade is possible

or list the stuff that is checked

are the only ones that I can see, that you can remove, without any problems.
their is a few more, I am not sure if you use them tho
software for folding has to be tweaked
that is out of my area of expertise
some other people here can chime in on that area
I have everything disabled on startup accept for those mentioned above on a laptop and desktop pc.
EDIT: Your laptop specs are much better than mine, so I can't see much wrong with them. Its your choice if you want to upgrade or not
