Computer wont start up properly
Having major issue with PC. When i go to start the machine i get to the desktop with my icons but my pc fails to load the start bar on the bottom. There is a blank line on the bottom where the bar normally is, when i place the mouse over it, my mouse turns into the hour glass and keeps on like this.
I can bring up task manager and i see my CPU usage is running at 100 percent.
It says explorer.exe is running at 25%, tmlisten is running at 25%(i m pretty sure this is a service for my trend micro software) and there are 2 versions of svchost.exe running at 25% each.
I can boot the pc to dos mode. Seems like a virus
CAn someone please help me

Boot into safe mode and do a full scan. If the virusscan doesn't want to run in safe mode, then boot in safe mode with networking, get onto the internet and run:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
when i get into safe mode, i double click on the internet icon but nothing happens. the same processes are running and i cant launch the internet or any other desktop icon for my computer...
any other way of finding out ?
it had some spyace on it with mssearch that kept appearing in my processes.
this can be closed
Additionally, are you running an anti-virus program? Is it updated? Don't worry about that now, just hop over to the link and get your system cleaned out. When it's clean, then take steps to install anti-virus (if not already on your system) as well as anti-spyware software.
We'll work with you and get you in good running order.
