Battlefield 2 Solid Blue Screen
All of a sudden I have this problem while playing Battlefield 2. I just start playing for a minute or two and the game freezes. After a few seconds it just goes to a BLANK solid blue screen. This is NOT a Blue Screen of Death - there is NO text displayed on the screen.
Last night I got the 1.03 patch to finally work, and I played for hours with no problems at all. This blue screen problem has just started today. The only change I've made is installing a bunch of new maps (from FilePlanet) this morning. What could be the problem? Any help appreciated. Thanks

Just calling it a buggy game doesn't fix the problem. Yes I agree, and said it, that its a buggy game and EA is poo, but I still want it to work all the time.
I just played for about an hour with no problems at all. I don't know what the deal is..
"Noob Tubing" is using the M203/GP-30 at close to point blank range to kill people. Due to retarded coding of the game, the grenade launcher does zero to minimal damage to the person that fires it, so they can just run around, bouncing and firing that at people's feet for a 1 shot instant kill with zero skill involved.
Bah, don't mention Leeroy Jenkins around me, stupid Dragon murderers.
bf2 + online multiplayer = ass, i got sick of that game's bugs, players with sub counterstrike lvl of maturity, and uninstalled it shortly after the lan.
Some people I know that had this problem was because of a powersupply problem. Or something of a power issue/driver conflict/etc.
Have you tested it on a spare PC. It might be a conflict between the game and your PC's configuration. Which is most likely the problem.
Get ATI tool and monitor your graphics card Temparature when you play to make sure it is not getting overheated/also monitor all of your other hardwares temp. Then check your system processes (Just randomly swith to the desktop Ctrl+Alt+Del and check out the temps.
I really hope you have better luck at this. New Patch.
The game is really good once you have optimized your system. Ohh and make sure your not running any folding software in the background. I almost did a complete reformat, but found out this was the problem.
Make sure there are no other OpenGL/DirectX programs are running at all.

I am finally going to get the servers up and folding for me while I am away.
