desktop disabled

My original symptoms were: Disabled Task Manager, "C:\WINDOWS\system32\search.html" Always being set as my home page, takes forever to login and eventually no access to the internet. I updated and ran Ad-Aware and Spy Bot, followed the instructions from another site and changed the registry to activate task manager and re-gain access to the internet. Now I can't get the desktop to become active and it takes an extremely long time to log in.

Teddy I think you need to post this into the Spyware forum - I am pretty certain that it is something that can be cleaned from there,
Before you post - read the instructions and follow them, you will then be on the way to a faster PC

I feel dumb! I have searched the site, read the rules but can't find information on posting into the Spyware Forum. Help :(

I'm moving this thread over there for you. The instructions are listed at the top of the page.

    Good luck. :)
