Reuters reports that Microsoft will release the Xbox 360 gaming console in Japan on Saturday, in a direct assault on Sony at home.
Source: ReutersXbox 360 will the first next-generation game machine to enter the market, putting the world's biggest software maker at an advantage versus competitors Sony and Nintendo Co. Ltd, which plan to launch their latest consoles next year.
But some have tempered expectations for Microsoft's Japan launch even though the console quickly sold out in North America and Europe. It remains in short supply in those markets.
"Pre-orders on the Internet look solid, but I don't think the retail stores will sell out of Xbox 360s in the first day," said Takeshi Tajima, an analyst at BNP Paribas in Tokyo.

SONY/NINTENDO FANBOI ALERT. Warning! WARNING!
Qeldroma is right. I think all console from Sony and Microsoft should Fold for Team 93. Heck, we could even let Nintendo Fold too.
I just think that it wouldnt hurt microsoft to much to loose some money for once. oh yeh. that would be awesome to have a fulltime folder running. and take up virtually no space. the floating-points on those things are really high. from what i saw, twice the speed and performance as an Xbox 360.
