WTB: Thermalright SocketA sink..

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to buy a thermalright (or other quality brand) socket-a heatsink. Preferably with 80mm fan support. This retail sink sucks, and won't cut the cake I'm afraid.. Its for a Barton 3200+ in an Asus A7N8X-E deluxe.

If you are looking to part with one, let me know..

Thanks.

I've got one in my stack of parts to get rid of. It's either an ALX-800 or an AX-7, both of which take an 80MM fan and are the copper base/aluminum fin designs. I will look through my parts bin and let you know, if you're interested in one of their aluminum models.

I have a Swifty MCX462 that I'm not using any more I can part with. I will have to make sure I have all the mounting hardware for it though; I'm sure it's around but I'm not positive it's with that heatsink. I'll be coming in from the rig by Wednesday morning at the latest and can update you on the hardware. Plus, I don't know about how to ship to you all in the Great White North either; like how much it costs or anything.

Cool, either of those should fit the bill nicely (I know the ALX800 will fit perfectly on this board).. let me know :)

I think that one should work nicely as well mudd. If you find the mounting hardware, let me know :)

    Thanks,

Thank you for the generous offer SmiGDig. I'm looking for something a little smaller than the SI-97, and made for an 80mm fan (have some good 80mm fans I'd like to reuse). Nice site btw, I may visit another time for some other odds and ends

I've got a Zalman 7000B AlCu if you're interested. I've got a 7000 CU running on my NF7-Barton 2800. At full load (no OC) the CPU runs an indicated 41-43*C. Check your PMs. The AlCu (copper-aluminum) I believe runs about 2*C warmer at load than the all copper model. I don't know how the Barton 3.2 compares to the 2.8 in waste heat production.

If you're going for quiet, I think Leo's Zalman is going to be the best bet.

Cool Stuff, at first glance I thought there was no way that would fit, but I just checked and it clears the PSU in this Antec 3700AMB case by about 5mm :D

    ygpm
