Last Night I had an unexpected knock on the door from the UPS man... and low and behold I opened the box that revealed a semi shiny Black case for the SMX 33 rig. It was almost one of those teary eyed moments :bawling: .... I will post images once I start putting her together :)

Well I checked on SM33 this morning to see how her initial setup was running! and I have to say she is folding liek an old Lady.... any suggestions are welcome onto the setup! I was thinking of adding more ram ontop of the 512MB it has... I have always been wondering this but does page filing have anythign to do with folding performance?

She's probably slow because her first WU is a gro.

Try to set up the console with timeless WUs enabled.

I clicked on the pictures and my first thought was "Man, that mobo looks familiar" - then I realized I lived with it for several years. ;) Then it folded for me as the heart of my mother-in-law's PC for a few more years.

I won that mobo directly from AMD in their "AMD Me" promotion several (many?) years ago, along with a brand-new XP2000+ Palomino (my second AMD proc) when they came out. It should treat SM33 well. If it doesn't, it'll have to answer to me!

I guess the times are not horable, but are these about right for a XP 2100+ ? It seems that it will take 2 1/2 days to fold this bad boy :(

    Hey Sledge

Great work getting here up and running so fast !!!

It looks like you are at about 80ppd on that gromac. It will run tinkers at about 140 ppd.
You should run the -configonly flag and change the option for "accept work units with no deadlines" to "yes" Or similar wording. But you want to run "Timeless" work units on just about any AMD cpu.

    Hope that helps

Thanks Scott! I just wanted to make sure I could get her up ASAP...

In the build SM33's case actually sliced my fingers to Hell :) it was kind of funny... damn temp I/O plate... but anyways she is alive and folding away.. Lets just see if we can get her folding at the precise settings... Note to Prime & Prof SM33 case = Bad time with I/O Plate

You see, here's why you're folding so slow. That line should read Icrontic4, not SM33.:tongue2:
