Folding@home query

edited February 2006 in Folding@Home
I downloaded the folding@home program but I don't see any change in the CPU usage-does that mean the program isn't working properly? Is there any way I can tell what it's up to?

Sorry man, what I meant was, can I know how many proteins my PC has unfolded, or in any case, what is has contributed to the cause?
Also, is there any way I can stop (pause) the F@H program?

    cheers

Which client are you running, the graphic or the console?

When you complete your first work unit, stats will become available. Stat sites are linked in one of the links Leo gave you.

Lots of folders use Electron Microscope to monitor their folding. You can get it here -http://home.comcast.net/~wxdude1/emsite/
I have turned folding off to see if it makes any differance to my gaming, it doesn't, I just leave it running all the time.

yes you can know how many proteins your pc folded by clicking on the little cog in your task bar and clicking status than user status.
Also in that same tree you'll see pause work

Just a little side note, if it's going to be paused for any length of time you might want to quit the program for a while. If I remember right there was a problem with some work units corrupting when paused for 3+ hours.
