Sounds like a drivers-mismatch mess to me. What symptoms comprise the need for reformatting?

installed sp 2 for windows home then in internet wouldnt work, then i got it to work somehow and while playing counter strike source the thing went to a blue screen and said "Unbootable Volume" when i restarted, the bootup screen was this blue screen. I thought maybe the cpu was unstable because i oced it so much (3500+ venice 2.2 to 2.8) and so i clocked it back down to stock speeds and voltage and it still did the same thing. so then i formatted and now its fine again but i f*c*i*g hate formatting it wasted my whole weekend when i had a match on css setup with my frendz. anyway so wat si this "unbootable volumE" incase it ever happens again.

If and when you get another BSOD, write down the exact message and post it here.

Also, a Repair Install will save you a lot of time vs. a Format/Reinstall/Etc.
