Hardware Independent OS Image?

Does anyone have some suggestions and/or good sources on Hardware Independent Images? I'm talking about a universal image of a base computer that will work for any PC model within an organization.

    Nope... I've tried and it really seems impossible these days with so many chipsets available. I use to run images for over 500 PC's and even with only 5 or 6 types of PC's it was daunting. Good luck finding one. If you do, let us know!!!
