Am I folding?

I decided I try to Fold some... yayy :fold:

But did I do it? I read Keeb's sticky, and went here to download the latest. It came up in a DOS-type window, I put in my username, team (93 I hope), and other stuff. So where do I go to see my (very minimal) progress/points?

Oh I think I found it! It created a link "MyFolding" on my desktop, and I think that has all the links I need.

You can also go here and here. Your name and accumulated points will not be posted until you have completed a full work unit. If you'd like a pretty cool monitor, download and install Electron Microscope III. I've posted a thumbnail screenshot of EMIII monitoring my home computers.

Thank you for joining the team. Please accept our hearty welcome.

    Cool. Team Rank 1,122

Okay and it'll obviously be a lonnnnng time before I finish a WU. I'm 1% now and been working on it for almost an hour.

As bikerboy stated above... it can take days to crank out a WU. With more info on the PC (is it the one listed in your sig?).

Oh, and welcome to the team!!!

Pilot - make sure you say "yes" to Advanced Options and then say "yes" again to WU's without deadlines - they will rock on an AMD rig. :ninja:

    Welcome to the Team!

When you complete your first wu, wander over to the milestone thread, also you can add a cool folding sig to your own.

Ah I think I said "no" to both. How can I go back and change that?

Donut - Thanks I'll be sure to do that.

I knew I saved this for a good reason. :D
Create a shortcut to the console executable. Right-click it and left-click "Properties". Then add -configonly at the end of the stuff in the "Target" box. (Note that there is a space before the dash.) Mine looks like this:

    "C:\Program Files\FAH\FAH502-Console.exe" -configonly

(The first part of yours may look different, depending on where you are running the console from.)

Save it, then run the shortcut you just made. It will let you go through all the steps again - read the questions and be careful what you answer, some of the choices will be the opposite of what they were when you first set the console up. You may have to answer "Yes" to "Change advanced options" to get to the area you want.

Save the shortcut for future use, it can be really handy when you want to make a quick adjustment to something. :):fold:

Idle should be fine. The only reason to switch to Low is if something else is preventing Folding from running at all.

First WU finally finished. Should it take that long? I wasn't running F@H all the time, just during the day and once overnight.

Ugh! I think it's the code line you posted pilotwings119. I'm horizontal scrolled to the max and can't reply normally.

At any rate- It can take DAYS for some WUs to complete- especially the big Gromacs. I'm chewing on one right now that has a 4 day completion time with a 3000+ Barton core.

    Qel.

Thanks I'll go fix the sig right now.

And I removed the code fer ya

Nope URL wasn't in the code at all. I even pasted it into Notepad and used Find to look for "URL", but it's not in there anywhere. Oh well it really doesn't matter.

    It was too. :vimp:

I started to fix it for you, then saw that you were working on it and left it alone. It's there now. :woowoo:
