Hopefully, we'll get this sorted out for you. :)

    Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
    • Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
    • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
    • Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the "Select Addition Tasks" dialogue.
    • Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
    • Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
    • At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
    • Click on the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

You have the latest version of the Wareout infection, which is nasty. :(

Why don't you have a Firewall or Anti-Virus to protect yourself? :(

    ================================================================

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
    http://forums.subratam.org/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=43811
    http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, then make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish. The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

When your system reboots, follow the prompts. Afterwards, HijackThis will launch. Please click Scan, and check the following items:

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {79AB76AA-00EC-771B-B595-014FEB532580} - gabber.dll (file missing)

    O1 - Hosts: localhost 127.0.0.1

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [exe.uxbmd] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmbxu.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [exe.sglmd] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmlgs.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Uint32] systemdll.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [typeconf] ActionScr.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [exe.tlumd] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmult.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [exe.njhmd] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmhjn.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [exe.xsvmd] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmvsx.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [exe.bidmd] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmdib.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [exe.qvcmd] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmcvq.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [NSYSCPLSTR] powerdll.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [qwe] cnftips.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Preliminary] trycrt.exe

    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{2E4405C4-2861-40F5-A41F-26C1E52493DE}: NameServer = 85.255.113.142,85.255.112.231
    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{56D219FD-75D2-4BD4-BBE8-5C90BB84F4FF}: NameServer = 85.255.113.142,85.255.112.231

Click Fix Checked. Close HijackThis, and click OK to proceed.

At the end of the fix, you may need to restart your computer again.

Finally, please post the contents of the logfile C:\fixwareout\report.txt, along with a new HijackThis log.

I'm not too sure if there is an updated fix for this yet. :(

    Try this:

Please print out this instructions as you should have all open windows and programs closed when running the scan.

    Step 1.
    ==========

    - Please download F-Secure's trial Blacklight from here
    - Print out the help page for guidance. It will be found here
    - Click the "I Accept" button at the the license agreement
    - Click the "Download" button to start the download
    - Save it to your Desktop

    Step 2.
    ==========

    - Double-click the blbeta.exe file on your Desktop
    - Select the "I Accept the agreement" at the license agreement, then click "Next"
    - Make sure all open programs and windows are closed (including this IE window) before clicking the "Scan" button
    - Click "Scan
    - When the animated graphics, in the bottom right-hand corner, disappears, click "Next"
    - A text log file will appear on your Desktop when the scan is complete. It will start with fsbl-xxxxxx.txt (ie: fsbl-20051017165931.log)
    - Paste the contents of that log back here.

    Download Ewido Anti-Malware
    • Install Ewido
    • When installing the program, under "Additonal Options" uncheck:
      • Install background guard
      • Install scan via context menu
    • Once installed, open Ewido
    • You will need to update Ewido to the latest definition files
      • On the left hand side of the main screen click update.
      • Then click on the Start Update button.
    • The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
      • If you are having problems with the updater, you can manually update Ewido » Ewido manual updates.
    • After it has finished, close Ewido.
Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
    1) Restart your computer
    2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
    3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
    4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site:
    http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml

Once in Safe Mode, please oepn Ewido.
    • Click on scanner
    • Click Complete System Scan. (Please don't use the computer while Ewido is scanning)
    • NOTE: During some scans with Ewido it is finding cases of false positives.
    • You will need to step through the process of cleaning files one-by-one.
    • If Ewido detects a file you KNOW to be legitimate, select none as the action.
    • DO NOT select "Perform action on all infections"
    • If you are unsure of any entry found select none for now.
    • When the scan is finished, click the Save report button at the bottom of the screen.
    • Save the report to your desktop
    Close Ewido

Restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis log, as well as the log from the Ewido scan.

Man I dont know I need help with virus programs, I had trials but they run out so damn fast
If you don't run a good AV program, you'll be right back to the doctor's office (Trogan) with another body part rotting off. Go to AVG and get yourself a first class AV program for free - no subscription, no fee, no worries. Set it to check for updates daily.

Once your system is cleaned up, immediately, without any other internet activity, download and install AdAware, SpyBot, and SpywareBlaster. Keep them updated. If Trogan, who is the expert, advises other programs, then defer to him.

    Hi,

Sorry for not getting back to you. I'm away for the weekend, but I will be home in a few hours when i'l post some more instructions, which hopefully should work.

    Thanks for downloading AVG. :)

    I'm back!

Delete the other FixWareout files you have and do the following:

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
    http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe
    • Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure Run fixit is checked and click Finish.
    • The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
    • You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
    • Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
    • Once the desktop loads, post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log in the forum please.

You aren't done until you have AVG or an equivalent AV program running. If you don't do this, you'll be right back here again.
