Windows Task Manager- Proccesses

In the windows task manager u can select the tab processes. When selected it will show the "Image Name", "User Name", "CPU", and "Mem Usage" by defualt, plus all the other options. For some reason on my windows XP user account, i cant see the "Image Name" and i cant find any options that will enable me to. But on the others i can. Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

You've got me stumped, so consider this post a thread bump.

Maybe it has something to do with one of the Windows XP services?

I looked in the services and found nothing. It is very odd, I even tried like deselecting all the options in the column header and reselecting. No luck with that one.

Wow... that's an odd one. The only thing I can think of right off the bat is to try a WinXP repair install.

Not to criticize any of ur judgemnets, but y the repair cd, when it works on a onather username account. And yes i have a lot of processes running, cause i have a lot of processes going on none important to this problem. None are hidden virus's or spyware or anything, most are from my motherboard, antivirus, and my graphics card.

This is a low-tech solution (assuming it works at all!), but see if you can click & drag the vertical bar to the left of PID. It may be that the column is actually there but is scrunched up off to the side.

If that doesn't work, go up to View>>Select Columns and uncheck the PID box and try the click & drag thing again. :)

Last night i already unchecked all the options. Once doing that there should be no "scruncing" and should show the "Image Name". But all that shows is a blank white box.

Ohh, wow, it was scrunched, but it was moved to the right of CPU. Never wouldve seen that. Thanks for the help pro. I can believe i didnt see that last night when i tried moving the things around. Alright guys, keep up the good work. :)

It's often the little details, believe me - that sort of thing has happened to me more than I'd care to admit.

    Glad you got it. :D
