Help me optimize SM14's output

About 2 weeks ago, I enabled forceasm and advmethods on SM14, as well as my own folding rigs. A quick look at the stats page:

makes it appear that things are still going as before. I'm running 3.24 console client, as a service, FireDaemon as the service "manager", and the two flags are in FireDaemon. What else can I do?

You need to upgrade to the beta 3.25 client, because 3.24 stops using sse after the first WU

Yeah 3.25 will make the Athlon run faster.

I did this about 3PM Central today. Reconfigured FireDaemon w. both -forceasm and -advmethods flags, rebooted, and she's folding away. It'll be interesting to see what impact, if any, this has on SM14's output.

I'd really like to use FireDaemon to run folding on my two computers as a service. Can anyone post a quick link and any tips on getting started?

With a P4, does the 3.24 client still use SSE on any work units completed AFTER the first, or does it revert back to something else (like the Athlon's do)?

If the WU calls for SSE, SSE will always be invoked ("SSE boost") for the P4.

So, even with 3.24, as long as I'm running Gromac's, each and every Gromac unit will utilize the SSE extensions available? :)

With a P4 CPU - yes. If you are using an Athlon, SSE boost might not be invoked correctly, as the software might not translate the command correctly to call up AMD's 3DNow. For AMD CPUs, you either need to add the -forceasm tag or run the 3.25 Folding client.

You need both the -forceasm tag AND 3.25 to get SSE working all the time.
