Memtest Question

I've been running memtest for 4 DAYS now, trying to see once and for all if my PC problems have come from some faulty memory. Does anyone know how long Memstest is supposed to take, on average?
(Possibly) relevant info is below:
2.08Ghz AMD Athlon 2800+
1 GB PC3200 RAM
On a side note, it hasn't found any errors yet, it's up to 178 now, whatever that means. I TRULY hope it's not going to have to go up to 1024...
