    May I make another suggestion? Do what I just did (again... this will be my second one)

    Order a refurbed 9700 Pro from Newegg (currently in stock) for $209-$250 depending on what you want; I'd recommend the BBATi for $220 (which is what I ordered) because of the 5yr warranty and the outstanding tech support.

    Use the 9700 Pro until a few months after the R420 comes out (so the bugs have been worked out) and upgrade to that. That's what I'm going to do.

    Beyond that, you could check newegg's refurb for the 9800 Pros... I think it's $273 for 128mb, $336 for 256mb. I don't think you can find new, retail cards for the prices you want though.

    Geeky beat me to the punch...

    Newegg still (as of 10:29AM on Thursday the 9th) has the Built-By ATi 9700 Pros for $220.

    But still, as the title says, it's the 9800 pro that i am looking for :D If you can find a deal for this low of a price GHoosdum i will pay you a lovely sum of $20.
