You'll both have to walk backwards, and bring some clothespins, to avoid the extra added jet boost that I will be using.

Coming from the man who originated the Team 93 Can Of Beans, I take that threat very seriously. :eek2:

    Hey thanks, Donut! You rule!

I've been practicing my walking, and practicing the 'smoke-screen' technique. I'm gonna leave Q and prof in my garlic-scented dust!

That's if HE carries you... it's a donation under his name... you cannot claim it. :buck:

When I leave your sorry butt far behind (probably at about the halfway point) and ultimately beat you to the finish line, you will be peeling a Hamilton off of that big fat wad of cash you carry around and donating it to the SMx Project in MY name.

Now, leave - before I taunt you again! :vimp:

If you pay to ship them UP to Michigan I would be happy to carry them on a Red Wagon with a Generator that would allow them to fold during the walk :)

    We need your support!

We need more walkers from the LAN attendees!

    We need more sponsors!

You don't want Short-Media to start PBS type fund drives and interupt your regularly scheduled postings and reading to do it, do you? Time for this is running out, fast!

Also, don't forget to order your folding T-shirts!

General Keebler and CB Droege still need individual sponsors.

I would also like to mention that only 20% of LAN attendees are walking so far! This is freaking pathetic! The rest of you should be ashamed of yourselves for simply mot wanting to walk off your Sunday breakfast!!! Where are all the people who are wishing to one day host an SMX rig? You need to be sponsors to help insure we have enough rigs in the future to go around! I have bad knees and am broke but I'm walking and sponsoring. What's your (to those who haven't done anything yet) excuse???

    THIS IS FOR YOUR TEAM!!!

Come on folks and show some team spirit
    I know you're folding and that's a big help Thank-You
But this is for fun you read this thread and see the fun that's getting started
But if there's not enough sponsors we may not enjoy this again.
It's only a buck a mile and the pics of this should be worth that, So don't let this be the first and last.
Oh profdlp I'll sponsor your two dogs too at a buck a mile if they go with you.

I'm going to see if any of my students or co-workers would like to sponsor me. Perhaps other's could try and do the same...

It would help if I had an official blurb about where the money is going, so that people know that it's a good cause, and that the fund is getting 100% of it...

Try this (ripped from the SMx page on Short-Media home)

The SMx Project is an effort by Team Short-Media to pool spare parts and money to create full-time folding computers. Donations are made to the team, which are then used to contruct the computers (often referred to as 'rigs'). A member of the team is then selected to host the rig at their home for as long as they are able.

Volunteer team members donate their time and effort to make this project work; there are no overhead costs. 100% of your contribution will go towards creating new SMx rigs to fold full-time for Team 93

Okay, I'll add in some stuff about what 'folding' is (Only the students who've taken my classes proly know about it, yet) and use that. I guess I could have looked on that page myself :/

I was going to add something about what folding is, but I thought you may have already explained that part.

If people write a check after the event is over, who should the check be made out to? SMx Fund?
