Microsoft has released a beta of Office 2007 which the public can use up to 31 January 2007.

Those wishing to download the beta version can find it HERE
Most Office users use only a small fraction of its capabilities. Microsoft hopes to change all that with the new version.

I'm <s>dreading</s> savoring what the ability to use 1 million lines of data in a spreadsheet will do for my job.

Downloading Office 2007 and Maya..... I could use those I2 speeds right now.

EDIT: Well, I got it installed, and it looks nice, but we'll see when I have a major project due for school....
Does anyone else think Microsoft is falling a bit behind and Apple is catching up? :eek3:

I've downloaded but holding back on install until I see a few more reviews. To be honest, from what I've seen and heard so far, the improved interface may be exactly what MS needs to stay in the Office game.

Been using it at home. Outlook is pretty much the same, but I do like the new style toolbar up top in the other apps. Tasks and needed tools seem more visible than before.

Stable too. No problems so far.
