[Solved]Pop-Ups.

Normally,Norton anti-virus blocks pop-ups (e.g. Poker rooms) and will ask you once to block it and then never bother you about it again. But these aren't coming up and I am getting lots of pop-ups even though I have downloaded Pop-up blockers. What should I do?

Post a HijackThis (HJT) log here and if there any signs of infection, we'll move this thread to the appropriate forum.

    Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
    • Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
    • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
    • Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the "Select Addition Tasks" dialogue.
    • Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
    • Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
    • At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
    • Click on the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

    =====

    Please download Ewido Anti-Malware
    • Install Ewido
    • When installing the program, under "Additonal Options" uncheck:
      • Install background guard
      • Install scan via context menu
    • Once installed, open Ewido
    • You will need to update Ewido to the latest definition files
      • On the left hand side of the main screen click update.
      • Then click on the Start Update button.
    • The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
      • If you are having problems with the updater, you can manually update Ewido » Ewido manual updates.
    • After it has finished, close Ewido.
Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
    1) Restart your computer
    2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
    3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
    4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site:
    http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml

Once in Safe Mode, please open Ewido.
    • Click on scanner
    • Click Complete System Scan. (Please don't use the computer while Ewido is scanning)
    • NOTE: During some scans with Ewido it is finding cases of false positives.
    • You will need to step through the process of cleaning files one-by-one.
    • If Ewido detects a file you KNOW to be legitimate, select none as the action.
    • DO NOT select "Perform action on all infections"
    • If you are unsure of any entry found select none for now.
    • When the scan is finished, click the Save report button at the bottom of the screen.
    • Save the report to your desktop
    Close Ewido

Restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis log, as well as the log from the Ewido scan.

    Lets remove Lop first.

    =====

Create a new folder for Findlop
Double click my computer > double click C:\ or your local disk > right click in the background > go to new > click folder > name the folder findlop.

Next, download Findlop by Metallica. Save it to your desktop.

    Extract Findlop
Double click the zip file that you just downloaded then click on extract, navigate to C:\findlop then hit ok.

    Run Findlop
Double click findlop.bat. It will open a notepad file. Copy the content of that file and paste it here in your reply.

Check if a file named 2 stop okay.exe is inside. If so, then delete that folder.

I should have mentioned this, but HJT cannot see the whole folders name, so thats why it was written like stored~1.
