Problem with viewing program files

I'm running Windows XP Professional. When I click on all Start\All Programs the list is now so large that I get three columns of programs but I can't view any more of my programs. Is there a way to make the program columns smaller so that I can view all of my installed programs?

Go to C:\Documents & Settings\(your account name or name of your computer)\Start Menu\Programs. Create folders and consolidate your program startup icons/groups into these folders. I do this on my machines. For instance, instead of having a whole bunch of viewers, photo editors, and players all instantly avialable for view when I press START, all these similary type programs are in a folder I call "Mulitmedia". I also have folders "Tools & Utilities", "Communication & Networking", and so forth.

....and the columns are only as wide as the longest name in the column. So if you right click on the longest name in the column and shorten it, the column will be narrower.

Easier way. Right click the Taskbar, click Properties, click 'Start Menu' then click 'Customize' then click the tickbox that says "Scroll Programs".
