Power on Password

Hi my IBM think pad pc is has a power on password and I have forgoten it. I have tried to remove the simos Battery but there is no luck with it. Any one with an idea of how to remove this on this particular model?

    That's coding directly on the hard drive, I believe. Don't know a way around it other than installing a new hard drive. There may be a way, I just don't know it.
