The CPU Price War is out of Control!

As Intel & AMD slash prices on there current offerings, some site such as buy.com, newegg.com and many others have been selling more CPU's than they have instock. Which is good for both companies. But Some online retailers are taking things a bit to far. I am sure this is a typo over at Buy.com, but $43,000 for a 4800+ X2 is far from any type of great deal.

This is a special deal for the AMDfanboi(s). They won't buy Intel, so have no choice BUT to pay the money.:bawling:

In my eBay forays for the last few days...that figure doesn't look that far fetched. I'm seeing a lot of processors, even used ones on eBay going for 25-30% higher than new-in-box retail CPUs at the major online retailers. I swear, half of eBay bidders are mentally challenged.
