How long can a monitor cable be?

I have an HD Plasma that I want to run a second monitor cable out from my All in wonder HD video card to but the computer is 20' plus another room away from where my Plasma is.

Thanks,
"g"

Practical length on a 15 pin VGA cable is around 10'.. After that, the picture gets pretty shaky.

Digital will go longer, but I am not sure of the limits.
    What can you buy??

I know for a fact you can go at least 30' with DVI.

You do need high quality cables that are designed for that length. I had a customer purchase a 30' DVI cable for a projection setup, and it cost about $300

Yeah cables are a bit hardcore... I setup one of my clients with a 42" Plasma in his office and use a nice long DVI cable to connect it to his desktop.

Now you understand why you find projectors with built in wireless networking. Forget the cables.
