If you are looking for ways to circumvent your company's rules, you've probably come to the wrong forum. Apart from that, we'd be happy to help you with other computer problems.

EDIT: Thanks for your response below. Hopefully, one of our networking wizzards will drop in and get you going in the right direction.

I know one way of doing it....through group policy. But it's hard to believe your network admins accidentily set that policy and don't know how to undo it.

Just go to Start> Run...., then type gpedit.msc and hit "enter". If you can't edit group policy, then your network admins know what they're doing and your explanation doesn't wash...or they don't have cajones to tell you why you've been cut off. If you do have the rights to edit group policy, go to \User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Internet Control Panel, then double click on "Disable the Connections page" on the right side of the window and check the radio button that says "disabled". Your Connections tab should be back now.

    EDIT: I don't know why I specified "\User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Internet Control Panel" only. Check the same path under "\Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Internet Control Panel" also.
