Sudden Death

Okay here is the story!

It all started with some random freezes. First I just thought the case was to hot but I checked the temperatures and it seemed to be ok. A few days later the system freezes again and after I pressed reset nothing at all happens. I switched it on and off several times. It was totally black and beeped 9 times (bios error). I reset the bios, took the system apart and searched for faulty cards without success.

So I returned the motherboard and got a new one. I reassembled my system and nothing happens. Black without beeps...

What do you think?
1. CPU has burnt
2. Something wrong with the electrics.
3. Graphic card has burnt

my system:
Asrock 939-S56M
Amd 64 3200
1gb PC3200, 400mhz
160gb Maxtor 6l drive
dvd
Palite 6600GT graphics card
Netgear FA311
Windows XP Pro

I would be very greatful for any tips or suggestions!

Do you have another PSU you could try?

    Ditto. 90% sure it's a failed/failing PSU.

I concur with the above posts. My wife's Duallie stopped for no apparent reason and failed to start.

Problem? A failed PSU. 620W Enermax Liberty, around 3 months old.

As you can see, it can happen anytime.:(
