Installing XP problem please help

Hello I want to ask th experts here if they can help me with my problem I have a brand new computer and I am trying to install XP Pro and everytime it gets to 35 min remaining it reboots and goes back to installing at 39 min this happenes everytime I have a ASROCK 772 Dual-Vista motherboard 1 Seagate HD 250gigs sound card is built in the mother board and the video card is a NVIDIA GEFORCE 7300 PCI-E if anyone can help me please I have spent 4 days on this and no luck I did install windows 98 with no problem but when I tried the upgrade to XP it did not work. Thank you

    Did you install 98se then try upgrading to xp ? (I strongly recomend against this as it just causes problems).

    Is this a pirated copy of xp by any chance.

    Yes I tried 98se and then tried the upgrade and it got stuck at the same point so I reformatted the hd and tried a clean new installation and the same thing happen. Yes it is a pirated copy of xp

    I did check the memory and everything was ok

    Thats likely your problem FCKGW copys do all sorts of strange stuff on newer hardware.

    Either buy a copy or get a decent pirated copy.

    edit: No one here will help you obtain a better pirated copy so if you go that route you have to obtain it on your own.

    FCKGW copies do nothing of the sort. They're physically identical to retail releases of Windows XP Professional with no service packs; they're copies backed by VLK keys, which means there is no activation.

    Nothing is different.

    That said, I'm not going to help you, Fnando, fix your pirated copy of Windows. Go legal.

    I do have a copy of xp original I will try that one thank you very much I will let you know how it went

    Thanks for your help guys but I just used a original XP cd and it gets to the same point and it reboots it doesn´t get pass the 34 min left mark

    You were booting off the cd when you installed right ?.

    Also try running your harddrives manufactuers dignostic software.

    Yes I was booting of the cd I also tried two different hard drives

    List what you have tryed already it should save us time in helping you diagnose the problem.

    Also hows the voltages on your psu look ?

    Have you tryed another cdrom drive ?

    Ok the voltage thing I didn´t understand sorry, I have tried disconecting the devices only booted with the neccesary

    I have changed hard drives

    I have tried new installation and upgrade installation of xp

    I have tried different video cards

    I have tried the windows vista RC1 and that did not work either

    have not tried a different cd drive

    win 98se loaded without a problem the problem is xp

    Somehow in one of the tries I got it to the point where it aks for the language option and once I hit next it rebooted itself again and now it is back to the 34 min remaining and it reboots from there I don't know really what else to try thanks for all your suggestions
