Installing XP problem please help
Hello I want to ask th experts here if they can help me with my problem I have a brand new computer and I am trying to install XP Pro and everytime it gets to 35 min remaining it reboots and goes back to installing at 39 min this happenes everytime I have a ASROCK 772 Dual-Vista motherboard 1 Seagate HD 250gigs sound card is built in the mother board and the video card is a NVIDIA GEFORCE 7300 PCI-E if anyone can help me please I have spent 4 days on this and no luck I did install windows 98 with no problem but when I tried the upgrade to XP it did not work. Is this a pirated copy of xp by any chance.
I did check the memory and everything was ok
Thats likely your problem FCKGW copys do all sorts of strange stuff on newer hardware.
Either buy a copy or get a decent pirated copy.
edit: No one here will help you obtain a better pirated copy so if you go that route you have to obtain it on your own.
Nothing is different.
That said, I'm not going to help you, Fnando, fix your pirated copy of Windows. Go legal.
Also try running your harddrives manufactuers dignostic software.

Also hows the voltages on your psu look ?
Have you tryed another cdrom drive ?
I have changed hard drives
I have tried new installation and upgrade installation of xp
I have tried different video cards
I have tried the windows vista RC1 and that did not work either
have not tried a different cd drive
win 98se loaded without a problem the problem is xp
