FS or TRADE: ATI Radeon X700 Pro 256MB PCI Express

edited September 2006 in Trading Post
Bought this thinking it was AGP (the pic was AGP) but received a PCI-E card instead! So I'd like to trade it for a comparable AGP card if possible...

Otherwise I can sell it - $85. PM me your zip code and I'll get you a shipping quote. Thanks!

    Just for clarification: Did you mean PCI, or PCI-Express? I am probably wrong, but I believe there is no X700 Pro in a PCI card... :)

    If there's no PCI version of an X700 Pro then it must be PCI-express... like i said when i bought it, it was advertised as AGP and it ain't that! I can send you a pic if you like... I've never owned a PCI-express board so all my GPU's have been AGP in the past.

    EDIT: ok here's a link to it on ATI's website... so there's only a PCI-express or AGP...

    System Requirements:

    * PCI Express® Model Requirements
    o PCIe based PC with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard
    o An additional connection to the system's power supply is not required
    * AGP Model Requirements
    o AGP 8x or 4x graphics slot available on motherboard
    o Connection to the system power supply is required, adapter included
    o 300W power supply or greater recommended

    That is straight from ATI's site, so evidently that card is manufactured in PCI-e or AGP format. You need to post a picture or a link to a picture showing your exact card. If you bought it online, that vendor should have a picture. If site's picture is different than what your card looks like, then find an online picture somewhere that shows the slot interface that is like your card's. It would seem to me you've probably got a PCI-e video card. To my knowledge, the only PCI video cards that are still made are low end, entry level cards. (Yes, manufacturers still make PCI format vid cards, believe it or not.)
