Slow Computer, Malware Problem?

    When did you first notice it was slow or was slowing down? How long ago was it and was the slowing down preceded by an event, such as a visit to a website or installation of new software?

    its been a while...maybe 1-2months
    and it was followed by a conterfeit windows xp notice
    i was recommended to download/purchase the authentic version but i did not
