Hey all,
I'm running AVG 7.5 << latest ver.
Spybot S&D resident.<< latest ver.
Question is should I run the new AVG anti spyware with them both od get rid of Sptbot S&D and load AVG anti spyware to run with AVG.
Is all three overkill or a drag on the system or not?
Thnx for all replies friends.

I haven't tried to run both, but I'd imagine that both will work well together.

SVT guys... what do you think?

Every person that I have helped has that combination (anti-virus + AVG anti-spyware + spybot) and no one has complained about any problems as of yet. I have the same combination on my computer and no problems. So its not overkill or a drag on the system. :)

Thnx, I just wasn't sure and haven't tried all 3 at the same time.
    Appreciate the input.

Not to be a smart-ass, but why did you then, have to help them? Is there any combination of AV and anti-malware that you never have to help or who only infrequently need help?

Also, AVG anti-spyware and anti-malware are retail products, right?

I am running AVG Anti virus 7.5, AVG Anti Spyware, Spybot S&D 1.4, along with a software firewall "not the windows one" plus two instances of Folding @ Home.

All while i surf the web and listen to mp3's on a single core intel HT 3.4Ghz.

No lag or drag here. :)

Not really. People can always get infected, regardless of what programs they have on their computer.
