Fs/ft Ibuypower Gaming Laptop

edited November 2006 in Trading Post
Okay, let's give this another try and see if i can do it right : P.

I have an IBUYPOWER Battalion 101 laptop for sale.

Specs:
1GB Corsair Ram
80GB HD (5400RPM)
AMD 64 3700+
ATI Mobility X700
15.4" Display
1Gigabit Lan
Windows XP PRO

I'm selling this because it sits in my dorm room and folds all day, and I use it as a desktop, so I might as well get a desktop (I like them more anyways). I'd like to see $800 for it...but I'm willing to trade for a comparable desktop.

If you need any more info, please ask and I'll get it as soon as possible.

i'm interested in the laptop. I need to know if the screen has any dead pixels, if any and if it has any form of antiglare like BriteView, UltraBrite, etc...

I also need to know how many USB ports it has, the condition of the battery, and if i can add another 1gb of ram for a 2gb ram combo.

Sorry folks for not responding sooner, but it has been a crazy couple of days due to the US launch of wii and ps3 (lots of camping).

Burninator: Do you have any pics of the computer? Also, it is socket 939, and is the graphics card Dedicated?

Isiea: It has two built in usb ports (i could include a usb splitter if you wanted one). You can add ram to make it two gbs, and it doesn't have any anti glare advertised (I've never had any problems with glare though).

Hope to hear from you soon.

I need at least 4 usb ports supplying 5v each. Thanks for the offer, i've used a splitter before with limited success....as my USB devices are power hungry and need dedicated ports to function. Thanks for the offer, i'll still think about it and the laptop was going to be used for primarily photoshop cs2, thats why i asked for the anti-glare. It was either this laptop or the Acer Ferarri 5006WLMi. If something good comes across this post i'll reconsider as i don't have to make my purchase until January 2007 of next year.

Sorry, I'm a liar. It has 3 ports, still not the four you wanted, but closer. I've had a hard time finding any laptops with more than three. Just so you know. The ferrari's are beautiful pc's, but they will cost way more than the 800 i want for this.

its still a long time until i have to make my purchase. everytime i use a usb splitter windows tells me all the time "usb hub power exceeded" and usually gives me a blue screen. i modified my ipod to eat up close to the electrical envelope of the usb power requirements. good mod, but bad for usb, the rest of my usb devices is a PSP with charging cable (that needs its full power as wellas it charges the psp battery by usb port) and a usb wireless mouse that charges through usb requiring full power of the port. On top of that my Nexstar3 USB-2 dual hard drive needs to store my media eating up the 4th port. I'd say i'm a little hardcore on the geek side of the gadgets things.....

.they should make a laptop with 16 usb ports or something. or a pci-e/sli board with at least 5 pci slots.

you know my agp can only overclock so much.... :S let me know if anyone here knows of a way i can supply full 5v power to all usb devices using a splitter. my gateway 7422gx laptop did just fine on all devices above....until it was dropped and i need another laptop.

That's cool, well if you decide you want to go with this, tell me. If you want me too, I can try to overload one of these with my splitter. I'd be glad too.
