A&A Computers - neighbourhood shop, decent processor prices, not much high end gear
A-Computers Good specials, reasonable (for our market) pricing, former owner(s) of OAComputer
A-Tech Electronics Can be a little tough to deal with but have some good pricing
Computer Circle Next door to A-Computers (LOL) friendly, not great selection, specialize in systems for grandma
Creartec - Chaintech distributor. Lots of used parts both PC and Mac. Reasonable to deal with.
Honor Computer - Very high prices. But, carry lots of stock & have 2 locations.
CastleCom - VERY friendly and good service, the most modding/enthusiast stock in town, high end (air) cooling. Pricey but will negotiate a bit if they get to know you.
ByteTrack Pricey. Friendly & knowledgeable staff. Limited stock.
Dynamic PC - Haven't been here. Web pricing high.
OEM Express Best pricing in town on motherboards, cpu's, memory. Only store in town who stock Abit. Locations in Calgary, Edmonton, London, Ottawa, Kanata. Great staff in Edmonton.
Best Computer - Pricey, have been but not bought here.
IC Computers - hmmm havent been here in a while, looks like they've brought their pricing down substantially. Only TwinMOS carrier I'm aware of.

Just bought some H2O gear online, and thought I'd share some of my experiences with my fellow Canadians :Canflag:

I have nothing but good things to say about Criticool. Awesome prices, and quick shipping to the GTA from Calgary. They are very knowledgable about their products and quite helpful. Their selection is somewhat limited, but I would wager a hefty bet that you wont find better prices anywhere in Canada for what they do carry. Check them out at www.criticool.com

I also purchased some misc H2O accessories from e-compuvision (www.e-compuvision.com). They have a fairly good selection of gear. Not the greatest prices, but most are reasonable. Shipping was quick, and checkout was painless. They have plenty of product in stock, so no worries about backorders. I would have no problem recommending them to anyone..

I'm sure most Canadians are familiar with BigFoot Computers in Toronto (www.bigfootcomputers.com). I've purchased from them numerous times. They are very helpful if you have any questions, and shipping is quick (free with orders >$100). Checkout is also very painless, and there are lots of shipping options avaliable to you. They carry many casemod and computer accessories that can not be found anywhere else. My two main complaints about BigFoot are 1) Inflated Prices (almost always 10-20% higher than most other online retailers). 2) Stocking issues, too many of their items are constantly on backorder, and out of stock.

I hope that helps anyone in search of H2O gear in Canada

A little update since it's been so long since I posted these links. I guess I just can't edit them because of the forums merger.

NEW LINK - OEMExpress - http://www.oemexpress.com - The new number 2 store for me after PCCyber. Low prices on almost everything. The store is a dusty hole in the wall though and some of the counter workers are unpleasant but I have bought a lot from here over the years.

NEW LINK - Sprint Computer - http://www.sprintcomputer.com/ - Haven't been around there in a few years because of higher pricing but after re-visiting them today I see they're much more competitive these days.

Since I posted these links from 2004, here is what my experience has been with these stores:

Compunation - Still in business but wouldn't buy from them if they were the last parts store in Ottawa. They are consistently among the most expensive dealers in the area.

DealsDirect - Middle of the road in pricing, haven't set foot in one of their stores in years.

Fedacom - Another store I haven't been to in awhile due to middle to high pricing.

PCCyber - Is now http://www.pccyber.com - I buy the majority of components from this place. Some of the best prices in the Ottawa area. Even cheaper for me, I get a 5 - 10% discount on everything due to the high frequency of my purchases.

Everbest Computer - They almost match PCCyber in their prices, if I can't get it at OEM Express or PCCyber, I go here.

I know, they had a large selection of hard-to-find items. They were also very good about ordering just about anything you wanted special order.

Bigfoot had awesome service, their prices weren't always the absolute lowest, but 9 times out 10 their shipping charge was significantly less than anyone else, or it was free.

Last thing I bought from them was my antec nine hundred and thermalright ultra 120 and their price was bang on and shipping was less than half what it would have been from NCIX.

The big player in Alberta is now Memory Express, they have multiple locations in both Edmonton and Calgary, and have moved East to Winnipeg as well. Their service may not be the best but they are very competitive on price (plus they will price match/beat on advertised & in stock items elsewhere), and their stock is excellent.
