No, I made a "strikeout" usergroup to make your name appear with a strike everywhere :p

Heh, are we (you :)) automatically adding people to the group after they exceed a certain quota of struckout characters per day? 'Cuz that'd be awesome.

i kinda like the strike in my name. never seen it before on short media even in posts thats i've read from years ago. it goes well and hand in hand with my new/shortened name. i prefer to keep it like that. forever. 'cause really, that is so0o0o0o 1337.

Haha, unfortunately there's no "count strikeout characters" option or "promote based on post contents" option so I'm doubly out of luck :p My discretion :D

isiea... wrong area of the forum... This is NOT the Folding area. Please head over to the Team Area or the Milestone area.

I think you're confusing people in here by talking about Work Units.

    And...

Stanford is too busy putting the research to actual good use to take the time to muck around with their database over matters like these. Many of us (including myself) Fold under names different than our forum name. I'd just leave it alone. :)

As for the Milestones, we honor members, not usernames. You'll get one per level achieved, regardless of what name it came under. ;)

The question has come up before. I'd change mine if it was easily done. The thing to keep in mind is that with over 500,000 different users, Stanford would need a huge staff just for administrative changes like these. I'm sure you'll agree that it's better for them to focus their efforts on the science, rather than the stats. :):fold:

actually its quite simple. i always thought of removing the 268 at the end of my name because the number made it seem unoriginal. i came up with the name isiea myself and i know i have an original username that was mine and i liked (i even googled isiea to make sure no one else had it and nothing came up). i just never had a "cue" to have it implemented on my names throughout the interweb. see now we have pilotwings who erm changed his name and so i lashed out and took the opportunity that was presented. during that time i got so excited i changed every one of my names from ebay to short-media and just started having too much fun....such that i overabused the strikeout tag and had my name 'struck out' for the next few days or so in the forum.

so there you go goat, thats how it all began. the flames just grew from there ;)
