Wireless Bridge or Outdoor CAT5?

We're planning on putting a single PC in our building across the street. The plan is to use an outdoor wireless bridge to span the two buildings we have. The span between the two buildings is about 75'. We've got a clear line of site between the buildings. My only concern is power cable interference. There are tons of cables in the area.

The other alternative would be outdoor rated CAT5e cable. Which would be the better choice, wireless bridge or actual cable?

Well, there is obviously a bit mroe work involved with the CAT5, but I'd say go wired. I'm not a fan of wireless, especially when there's noticeable items around to cause interference.

Outdoor rated CAT5e inside conduit, if possible. That protects the cable and allows you to pull something else later, if needed. Wireless bridging would work but it could be a bit flaky and hard to diagnosis future problems.

Wired. It's worth the labor investment.

We're going to go wired. I found a 500' spool of weatherproof CAT5e for $150. I have to see about a conduit though.

I would go wired. Simply put a wired connection is feasable...AND then theres the bonus of throughput with minimal packet loss using wired over a wireless connection.

    Definately worth the wired.
