p4 3.2 or D 2.8

plz need help to buy a new cpu
its between p4 3.2 pc 800 2mb l2 cache abt 100$
nd D 2.8 pc 800 4mb l2 cache 125$

    D all the way. The D is a dual core cpu, while the 3.2 has hyperthreading, which is not a dual core.

    but i read many reseach abt D nd they said it not work properly like a real 2 core or 2 brain!!nd there arnt a differnce in games just u can benefit in multytasking sooo.. anyone can sahred an ideas

    there are more and more apps that are being designed to take advantage of the 2 cores, but as is, there aren't a lot, but there are definately some that do.

    No contest, get the D series CPU. The D9xx series totally outclass the single Pentium 4s, hands down. Having two cores working on one processor is fantastic for multitasking, such as web surfing while running another program simultaneously, or opening a large program while something else is going. It will perform and FEEL like a major upgrade over what you are accustomed to.
