So, that site is sponsored by Dell? Loosely affiliated? Never heard of them, but I don't keep up with off-the-shelf computer forums.

I thought the Linux-on-PC demographic was essentially a do-it-yourelf population, much like us here. I've no clue how many people would want to order a beige box with Linux pre-installed. I'm not disparaging that Dell discussion page, I simply don't know.

Leo, from my understanding the site was setup by Dell to take suggestions from customers on what they would like to see from Dell.

Someone can post a suggestion and other people can promote it if they like it. In theory it is suppose to help Dell decide some of their moves in the future.

    cheers :jared:

i think thats a fine idea. i really do.

Im pretty sure it would be more profitable for Dell to have a linux option, not only that but it could bring more customers to them.

I think the reason they don't now is MS gives them significant discounts to stick with Windows-only.
