Problem with Western Digital 80GB IDE Hard Drive

hi i have this peoblem but i dont have raid i only have a ide WD 80 gig. and answers as i only got this yesterday and its really really annoying

    Marverick, I moved your post into its own thread so that it won't be confused with the thread it was in previously.

    Please provide us more details concerning the problem. We'd like to help, but at this point all we know is that there is a problem. Not to much we can do if we don't know what the problem is.

    i did it in reply to a thread that had same problem but when i try to boot it takes forever to detect ide drives, after it detects them it comes up with
    Verifying DMI Pool Data.....

    DISK BOOT FAILURE. INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
