    wtf, i read the site it says before rebate, its 399, and rebate ie 50, so it makes final price 349, not 299.

    Its definately $299 cause i did it last night. I thought the sales rep was mistaken myself because it used to be $399 with a $50 instant rebate so i thought they were doubling the rebate somehow but they weren't. Its like a 1 week special or something because i bought mine about a week ago for $349.99 and was able to bring my receipt in last night and get the $50 rebate form so i'm a happy camper. :)

    You guys are never gonna believe this but i'm looking at my $50 rebate form and i see that there's a second rebate form underneath it except this one says,


    REBATE: Free* Half-Life 2 - ACTIVATION KEY


    So i'm rubbing my eyes wondering whats going and then conclude that this must be for the XT offer and they gave it to me by mistake. But then in the terms and conditions i read:

    "Limit one copy of Half-Life 2 per household..."

    "This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other RADEON 9800 PRO offers unless otherwise noted."


    So i'm playing telephone tag with the Best Buy rebate center and the ATI rebate center right now. (i'm actually on hold while the best buy guy calls the ATI people :) ) I'll let you know what they say.

    How sweet would it be if they threw out this one week deal where you can get both $50 back and a free copy of Half-life 2?

    Just got done speaking to a guy at ATI. You get BOTH! The HL2 rebate is in fact for an activation key, you can then either downlad the game or have a cd sent to you if you pay for shipping and handling. For the $50 rebate you send a photocopy of the UPC, for the game you send the original UPC. I feel like i've struck gold! :)

    I was actually just in BB to pick up ffxi. Says right on the tag "$299.99 with mail in rebate" and then "free copy of Half-life 2 with purchase of Radeon 9800 XT, Radeon 9800 PRO, Radeon 9600 XT, or Radeon 9600 SE.

    How long will they have these cards at this price?? I purchased the 9800 non from circuit city for 249...nope not Samsung chips...DOHHHH!!! but for 50 clams more plus half life im goin to take it back. I wont have the cash to do this untill nov 6...think this will still be on sale then....me hopes so..crossing fingers...har
