I used to use NERO Burning ROM, but the new version isn't very good...

Lately, I've just been using the burning tools that come with XP.

My new Lappy came with some kind of software that is suposed to be able to burn labels onto your discs for you, but I haven't played with it yet.

I usually just use the built in WinXP functionality in Windows Explorer/My Computer. If not that, then Nero (free version shipped with my DVD burners).

I use InfraRecorder from sourceforge.net and really like it. It's simple and gets the job done for free. Can't speak for it's Vista compatibility tho.

    Nero 6.5.x. 7.x is terrible.

I use CDBurnerXP. It's free, and has worked great for me so far.

The built-in Windows XP tools have never worked very well for me.

I Use Nero, and I really like it. Everything my "burning" heart desires in one program.

I stopped using the big Nero suites because it would always bork my codecs. Post install audio and video would always skip.

    Nero Express (donno which version).
Work well for CDs, but doesn't burn DVDs for some reason. Fortunately I haven't HAD to burn a DVD, but a few times the extra capacity would have been very nice.

I've always used Nero 6. I've had a problem lately though after burning MP3's. For some reason it burns the files as raw files and not CFDS. Therefore nothing recognises it. Might be the discs!

Might be the install. Mine burn DVD's just fine, and it is a feature i enjoy, since you can fit a lot of pictures on a DVD-disc (and movies and games, but that's another story.:D )

Same here, I use it for everything except Video DVD. For that I use the DVD Flick app that Prof pointed out to me a while ago.

I use IMGBurn to burn .iso files and other images... Other than that pretty much just XP's built in thing.
